DESTINATION OVERVIEW:

For fishing in general the Seychelles offers huge variety and quality. For fly fishing in salt water there are very few serious competitors. For perfect firm flats wading, sight casting to a proliferation of species that take a fly aggressively, there is simply no comparison! Did we mention the three private atolls with and over 1,000 acres of flats per fisherman?

The Alphonse and St. Francois atolls offer an unimaginably diverse fly fishery that caters for all skill levels and tastes.

Paradise for first time saltwater fly fishers, increasingly large bonefish patrol the vast area of white flats in huge numbers. For the more experienced angler, fishing for large Bonefish in the shallow waters surrounding the uninhabited shores of St. Francois is incomparable. Indian ocean Permit are more and more common and offer all the challenges of their Atlantic cousins, while powerful Triggerfish crunch crab patterns on the reef and flat edges.

Move just off the flats, take a few minutes to stare down from your skiff into 40 feet of azure blue water and watch in awe as so many layers of the food pyramid play out your private ‘blue planet' moment. It will come as no surprise that more than 50 species of fish have been landed here on fly.
